Here’s a collection of different actions claimed by radical Mapuche groups in Wallmapu, against the Chilean state in the month of December 2022. Some of these actions were collected from mainstream media. For each, we will try to provide a link/picture to the actual claim/pamphlet and a translation of it.

December 2, Temuco: in solidarity with the 9 Mapuche political prisoners of the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) on hunger strike, Mapuche students erected flaming barricades to halt traffic

December 5, Wallmapu: Mapuche political prisoner Carlos Hueiquillan started a dry strike after the prison administration refused to transfer him from the Lautaro prison to the Angol prison (of Chile) despite a judge decree. He had been illegally transferred from Angol in November.

December 7, Arauco/Malleco: in solidarity with the 9 Mapuche political prisoners of the CAM on hunger strike, the ORT Lavkenche of the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) blocked the main roads of Arauco & some of Malleco (7 roads blocked simultaneously). December 7, Collipulli: the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) torched a tourist mountain refuge that was planned to open next january, left a canvas demanding the freedom of political prisoners.

December 7, Temuco: in solidarity with the 9 Mapuche political prisoners of the CAM on hunger strike, a flaming barricade was erected on a road, graffitis & flyers demanding freedom for the Mapuche political prisoners were left on site.

December 8, Malleco/between Pemehue and Collipulli: in solidarity with the 9 Mapuche political prisoners of the CAM on hunger strike ORT Wenteche of the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) blocked a road in the region of Malleco & sabotaged a tourist center between Pemehue & Collipulli. The tourist center’s arson took place in an area close to a territory recovered by a community supported by the CAM, which had been evicted by the military due to the insistence of tourism companies, right-wing elected officials & the government.

December 8, between Curaco and Collipulli: in solidarity with the 9 Mapuche political prisoners of the CAM on hunger strike, the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) erected barricades to block a road & left a sign reading « Freedom to the Mapuche Political Prisoners ».

December 10, Traiguén: 9 armed individuals ambushed a cop driving his private car, made him get out of it, shot him in the foot and then torched his car (unclaimed)

December 14, Victoria: unknown individuals ambushed cop protecting forestry trucks of Comaco company and attacked them with firearms, mildly injuring 2 cops (unclaimed)

December 18, Puerto Choque: in solidarity with the 9 Mapuche political prisoners of the CAM on hunger strike, the ORT Lavkenche Leftraru of the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) burned & destroyed monocultures belonging to forestry company mininco.

December 19, Temuco: on the 23rd day of hunger strike, Mapuche political prisoner Daniel Canio joined the hunger strike with the same demands from the Temuco prison of Chile.

December 19, Carahue: in solidarity with the 10 Mapuche political prisoners of the CAM on hunger strike, the ORT Toño Marchant of the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) destroyed 2 forestry machinery, a skider and a bell, on a mininco (forestry company) farm.

December 19, Galvarino: in solidarity with the 10 Mapuche political prisoners of the CAM on hunger strike, ORT Anganamun of the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) destroyed a watchtower on an estate of forestry company mininco.

December 20, Angol: radical Mapuche set fire to & completely destroyed a backhoe machine.

December 23, Ercilla: following the arrest of the werkén of a Mapuche community, radical Mapuche shot at cops protecting a house ; left a canvas demanding his & other Mapuche prisoners’ freedom and that forestry get out of Wallmapu.

December 24: Mapuche political prisoners in the prisons of Lebu, Angol and Temuco released communiques in support and in solidarity with the Mapuche political prisoners of the CAM on hunger strike for 28 days. In Spanish on Werken Noticias.

December 27, Padre Las Casas: Weichan Auka Mapu (WAM) destroyed a backhoe, 2 forestry machines and a tractor at a farm ; demanded the freedom of Mapuche political prisoners & specifically of Luis Tranamil in a canvas left on site.

December 27, Collipulli: unknown individuals stopped a truck carrying a backhoe loader, intimidated the drivers to get out of it, then torched both the truck & the machine.

December 28, Tirúa: in solidarity with the Mapuche political prisoners of the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) on hunger strike, the ORT Lavkenche Leftraru of the CAM destroyed a watchtower, a container & a telecom antenna of forestry company mininco.
