REPORT OF « BONNOT ACTION » : LIBERATION OF 24 SHEEPS IN A SLAUGHTERHOUSE ON THE NIGHT OF THE 8TH OF MAY 2022 (EUROPE) PLEASE LIKE & SHARE : OUR COLLECTIVE NEED SUPPORT TO CONTINUE THE DIRECT ACTIONS AND TAKE CARE OF THE LIBERATED ANIMALS !
Bonnot was a young sheep that we liberated in 2016. Injured and abandoned in the farm where he was born, he was riddled with gangrene when we took him with us. He breathed his last breath on a vet’s operating table less than 24 hours after being liberated.
Despite the few moments we had with him, the strength of his courage gives us an eternal rage and determination. His death is not really a death, because the memory of his courage gives us the strength to rescue many other sheep.
It is his memory that led us to the night of 8 May when, accompanied by long-time comrades, we rescued 24 of them from a slaughterhouse.
There is something that is striking and obvious when we go into these places: the various technologies to handle, control and enclose the animals are of course horrors of the animal exploitation, but also the proof of their incredible strength and power of resistance.
The huge equipment of fences, cages, enclosures, and surveillance systems responds to their ability to resist and be offensive.
Animals are victims of the civilised capitalist world, but they should also be seen as political actors of resistance and as powerful beings who can shape the world.
Through the experiences that we share, we want to bring out the history of the exploited animals as a part of class societies, and in a perspective of struggle !

Accompanied by long-time comrades, we rescued 24 sheeps from a slaughterhouse.
Entering these places – slaughterhouses, farms and laboratories – means daring to face the reality and to get rid of abstract speeches. Our oppressed comrades are in front of us and we suddenly have the responsibility to make a decision that can change their lives.
The symbols and structures of the speciesist domination are everywhere, the issue is to dare and to take the step to offensive actions, putting into practice our ideas and values of liberation, our complicities, our knowledge and our ingenuity. We do not believe in the strategy of moral persuasion and the myth of “personal choice”.
Our targets are not “non-vegan people” but the system that sustains and profits from the exploitation of animal people. We are not fighting for an ethical slaughter under video surveillance.
We take a materialist approach to speciesism, which is not an “individual choice” but a system of oppression: it is institutions and structures that produce these social practices of speciesist domination, not the other way around.
Direct actions are actions of confrontation against the system, actions that allow to overcome the powerlessness of the animal liberation struggle. They allow the creation of revolutionary complicities and are the incubator of a political rage that encourages us to lead more and more actions !
