[November 2022, Wallmapu] News from the Mapuche struggle against the Chilean State

Here’s a collection of different actions claimed by radical Mapuche groups in Wallmapu, against the Chilean state in the month of November 2022. Some of these actions were collected from mainstream media. For each, we will try to provide a link/picture to the actual claim/pamphlet and a translation of it.

November 2, Trovolhue: Radical Mapuche shot at cops protecting a farm then fled by making a tree fall & burning a car on the road.

November 3, Púa: Resistencia Mapuche Malleco (RMM) burned a light material warehouse and a backhoe of a construction company doing water works. A graffiti was spray-painted on site:

November 9, Lonquimay: Resistencia Mapuche Pehuenche (RMP) torched 4 cabins for the freedom of the Mapuche political prisoners. Canvas left on site :

November 9, Concepción: the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) torched 2 machines used for the expansion of the road, left the message « Hit the streets. Freedom for pu weychafe of the CAM »

November 9, Lautaro: unknown individuals torched a house, sheds and a truck on a farm (unclaimed)

November 10, between Cañete and Contulmo: Resistencia Mapuche Lavkenche (rml) torched a forestry truck against the visit of Chile president Gabriel Boric to Wallmapu. Communique in Spanish on Radio Kurruf.

With this sabotage we join the different actions of resistance carried by the expressions of the weichan in rejection of Gabriel Boric’s visit to Wallmapu. November 10, Curacautín: in rejection of the visit of Chile President Boric to Wallmapu, Resistencia Mapuche Malleco (RMM) burned down a rural school & a room used by adults next to it. Canvas left on site:

November 10, Villa Cautín: against the visit of President Boric to Wallmapu, Resistancia Mapuche Malleco (RMM) torched a catholic chapel & completely destroyed it.

November 10, Galvarino: against the visit of Chile president Gabriel Boric to Wallmapu, the ORT Toño Marchant of the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) torched an harvesting machine, a cargo truck & a van of a forestry subcontractor

November 10, between Traiguen and Los Sauces: against the visit of Chile president Gabriel Boric to Wallmapu, the ORT Magil Wenu of the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) torched a forestry truck of Forestal Arauco

November 10, Wallmapu: against the visit of President Boric to Wallmapu, multiple roadblocks were set up:
– by torching a logging truck between Traiguén and Los Sauces
– by cutting down a tree to the north of Lautaro
– by burning down a truck between Lautaro and Curacautín
– by armed individuals setting up barricades between Collipulli and Angol

November 10, Cobquecura: in commemoration of young mapuche Yordan Llempi who was murdered a year ago by cops & soldiers, radical Mapuche torched a crane cargo truck at a forestry site.
November 11, Ercilla: armed individuals burned down 2 cars & shot at cops guarding usurped land, left a canvas alluding to the Mapuche struggle.
November 11, Merquiche: 3 hooded armed individuals torched a forestry machine inside a farm (unclaimed)
November 13, Nahuelbuta National Park: Weichan Auka Mapu (WAM) torched a park ranger house & 2 control houses & 2 warehouses of Conaf (National Forestry Corporation) and stole 1 pick-up & 1 Conaf motorcycle. Canvas left on site:

November 14, Victoria: hooded armed individuals entered a farm owned by a forestry company, torched 3 forest machines & stole one truck (unclaimed)

November 14, Wallmapu: on the 4th anniversary of Mapuche community member Camilo Catrillanca’s murder by cops, barricades were set up in Temuco and in Padre Las Casas. (unclaimed)
November 15, Concepción: on the 4th anniversary of Mapuche community member Camilo Catrillanca’s murder by cops, radical Mapuche torched a backhoe machine on a new waterfront parked closed to the regional government. Canvas left on site:

November 15, Ercilla: on the anniversary of Camilo Catrillanca’s murder, radical Mapuche shot at a farm & the cops protecting it, torched a truck & a farm warehouse outside it, left a canvas demanding the freedom of Mapuche political prisoners.
November 22, between Galvarino and Lautaro: the ORT – Anganamün of the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) torched 4 machines 2 vans 4 trucks of a forestry company ;

November 27, Valdivia: Mapuche political prisoners of the CAM (Coordinadora Arauco Malleco) Jorge Caniupil Coña, Luis Fuenzalida Eneros, Pelentaro Llaitul Pezoa, Carlos Mardones Sáez and Luis Menares Chanilao started a hunger strike from the Valdivia prison of Chile to demand 1) the transfer of Mapuche political prisoners to Temuco prison 2) dignified prison conditions & treatments of visitors 3) prison benefits for Daniel Canio Tralcal in the prison of Temuco. November 27, Concepción: 4 more Mapuche political prisoners of the CAM (Ernesto Llaitul Pezoa, Hector Llaitul Carrillanca, Ricardo Delgado Reinao, Esteban Henriquez) joined the hunger strike with the same demands from the Concepción prison of Chile. November 28, Santa Barbara: radical Mapuche torched 2 forestry machines, left a canvas demanding cops & military & forestry & aggregates get out of Wallmapu & also demanded freedom for Mapuche political prisoners & prisoners of the social revolt.
