[July 2022, Wallmapu] News from the Mapuche struggle against the Chilean State
Here’s a collection of different actions claimed by radical Mapuche groups in Wallmapu, against the Chilean state, in the month of July 2022. Some of these actions were collected from mainstream media. For each, we will try to provide a link/picture to the actual claim/pamphlet and a translation of it.
Starting with two communiques that cover several of the sabotage actions which will follow:
June 30 – August 16: in solidarity with the hunger strikes of Mapuche political prisoners Cesar Millanao, Orlando Saez, Oscar Pilquiman & Emilio Berkhof, and of Victor Llanquileo, Weychan Auka Mapu (WAM) claimed a series of sabotage actions in Wallmapu. Communique in Spanish on Radio Kurruf.

July 2, Cañete: in solidarity with Mapuche political prisoners on hunger strike César Millanao, Orlando Saez, Oscar Pilquiman & Emilio Berkhoff, Weychan Auka Mapu (WAM) torched 4 cabins (3 destroyed, 1 at 80%) of a former prefect of investigative cops.

July 5, between Traiguén and Lumaco: in hommage of Pablo Marchant, ORT Mangil Wenu of the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) carried out an incendiary attack in the El Coihue property and destroyed 1 warehouse and 3 vehicles owned by a well-known settler & latifundista
July 6, Collipulli: armed individuals torched 5 forestry trucks & managed to flee after shooting at cops. (unclaimed)
July 7, Máfil: in hommage of Pablo Marchant, ORT Kallfulikan of the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) carried out a sabotage action in the Huichaco sector and destroyed 6 machines, 2 trucks, 2 containers and 1 forestry van
July 8, Cholchol: in hommage of Pablo Marchant, ORT Txenka Marimán of the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) attacked a Mininco forestry site and destroyed 4 trucks, 2 machines and 1 van
July 8, Lumaco: in hommage of Pablo Marchant, ORT Pelontraru of the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) carried out sabotage in Fundo San Alonso of Forestal Mininco and destroyed 1 cargo truck
July 8, Concepcion: in commemoration of weychafe Pablo Marchant on the one year of his murder, an incendiary attack was carried out against a car dealership.

July 12, La Union: in solidarity with the hunger strikes of Mapuche political prisoners Cesar Millanao, Orlando Saez, Oscar Pilquiman & Emilio Berkhof, and of Victor Llanquileo, Weychan Auka Mapu (WAM) torched 8 trucks owned by a transport company.
July 12, Arauco: in solidarity with the hunger strikes of Mapuche political prisoners Cesar Millanao, Orlando Saez, Oscar Pilquiman & Emilio Berkhof, and of Victor Llanquileo, Weychan Auka Mapu (WAM) attacked the wind farm, destroying a mansion & 2 sheds that functioned as a control center.
July 12, Contulmo: in solidarity with the hunger strikes of Mapuche political prisoners Cesar Millanao, Orlando Saez, Oscar Pilquiman & Emilio Berkhof, and of Victor Llanquileo, Weychan Auka Mapu (WAM) set fire to 2 cabins belonging to the former mayor.
July 12, Lebu: in solidarity with Mapuche political prisoners on hunger strike César Millanao, Orlando Saez, Oscar Pilquiman (held in Lebu) & Emilio Berkhoff (in Concepción), ~80 people held a rally outside the prison & carried out Guillanmawüm. Communique in Spanish on La Zarzamora.
July 13, Arauco: a dozen of armed individuals attacked forestry property in 5 different places, burning down 5 trucks 1 skidder 1 crane 1 jeep 1 van 1 forestry machine 1 worker transport van & 1 container used as a dining room. (unclaimed)
July 13, Arauco: in solidarity with the hunger strikes of Mapuche political prisoners Cesar Millanao, Orlando Saez, Oscar Pilquiman & Emilio Berkhof, and of Victor Llanquileo, Weychan Auka Mapu (WAM) burned a forestry van & attacked a forestry camp.
July 17, Máfil: ORT Kalfulikan of the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) torched & destroyed 10 machines & 16 trucks of an aggregates company providing forestry companies.

July 17, Lanco: 8 persons intimidated workers at a fundo owned by Forestal Arauco then torched & destroyed a truck, a forestry machine & a container used as dining room (unclaimed)
July 19, Puren: Mapuche communities linked with the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco (CAM) rallied outside the courthouse to accompany & support political prisoner Luis Vásquez Tremolao.

That in the current political scenario supported by the government of Gabriel Boric there has been a rearrangement of the relations of domination that have historically operated over the Wallmapu. […] The expressions of capitalism and colonialism today continue to be reproduced in our lands, although they want to disguise them as a “sustainable progress” Typical of the new pseudo-lefts, we will continue to fight them throughout the territory. […] Proof of this is how, with the State of Exception, forestry exports and extractivism have increased in Wallmapu, as well as the media and political repression and criminalization of the Mapuche revolutionary organizations, while the political class and the Constituent Convention fill their mouths talking about plurinationality and other neoliberal inventions. […] Despite this the CAM will continue to promote its strategic project, recovering territory, multiplying resistance actions & rebuilding the ancestral culture of our people, beyond the crumbs the government uses in this scenario to coopt the hesitant & opportunist Mapuche sectors.
